Welcome
to China Beach Bistro
China Beach Bistro is named after the beach My Khe, also referred to as China Beach, in Đà Nẵng, Vietnam.
Along
the dragon's back, south of the old imperial city of Hue, lies the
serene tranquility of China Beach. This famed beach (where the pristine
blue water meets jungle-covered mountain cliffs) etched itself in the
memory of Hiep Thi Le, who grew up just south on a sandbank of the Da
Nang river called Song Hang.
Time
has elapsed since Hiep relocated to America due to the Vietnam War.
Hiep decided to open a restaurant showcasing authentic recipes from her
family. Venice Beach reminded her of home and thus the name of her new
restaurant "The China Beach Bistro," in fond memory of her past and
appreciation of her present.
